Camp Leaders presents you with Festive Edition of Leaders Online! Once again we've got loads of useful information, jokes, cheese and a very merry guest.
This blog has come in from one of our excited participants who is about to head out to camp for the first time...
Should I take these extra socks or should I pile in some Tetley Tea bags? Do I take my book about the USA or those cool new shoes I bought last week? Lots of questions; a few answers and a pile of anticipation.
What will my cabin be like? What will the food be like? Who will I spend my time off with? Will the kids be nice? Does Wal-Mart really sell everything? How big is Texas?
Personally, I am going to pack extra socks and try to ensure my bag is light, as I'll be travelling after camp. I will be teaching swimming, and from the look of the camp website the lake looks amazing!
The Camp Job Fairs resulted in lots of people getting placed, and even more new people on the programme. What a result! As I am sure everybody knows, we work with a whopping 800 camps, so if you didn't get placed then you don't need to worry.

On February the 13th in London and February the 14th in Liverpool Camp Directors will be interviewing and hiring staff on the spot for jobs in their camps. The Camp Leaders staff will also be hanging out and getting to meet you, which means you will have the chance to find out more about Camp and we will be able to find out more about you! The more we know about what makes you tick the more we can help you with your application = your placement opportunities will increase!
Have you heard about our Christian Camp Leaders programme?
I met up with Athol over soy mochachoka latte yesterday and had a chat. Athol heads up Christian Camp Leaders and he was telling me about joining this programme. First he told me that it will increase the number of camp jobs that you are eligible for. It does not discount you from consideration with other camps. I was interested in the opportunity and got more info from him.

Every year is different at camp because the staff group is always changing and the campers do to. This helps keep the place fresh and provides a welcoming community every year.

It's exciting stuff, and I'm glad our idea to really communicate what Camp Leaders is all about has been realized in such a beautiful way.
