The last Leaders Online episode of the season 2009-2010! It's been great to give you all the information you might need to prepare for the summer adventure of your lifetime! In this episode we also give you some insight into post-camp travel with Trek America.
The team in the UK Liverpool office have been busy this week, scheduling first and second interviews and getting some very excited people hooked on the camp idea. Rob is impressed with the quality of the applicants experience across the board.
Work is carrying on across the globe, Ian in New Zealand is gearing up to a great season ahead, good luck mate! The guys down under have a guest with them until February when Andy Whalley will fly back to the UK to book all of the UK First Time participants flights.
As Christmas is fast approaching I have heard a few people are asking their parents to send them to camp as their present, what a great idea. I know my parents would have done something similar and possibly paid my first two installments.
Mark launched a campaign two weeks ago asking our Alumni what camp had done for them. He was telling me how amazed he is with the response. Over 150 people have emailed in telling stories of road trips, camp parties over here, camp relationships, global friendship networks and visits and some life changing stories too. WOW. Mark is currently looking at how best to get all this information together and share these stories, I'm looking forward to that.
Yesterday a large group of our Alumni busted out their old camp t-shirts and represented. Camp Lincoln, French Woods, Mendocino, Shane, Mondamin and Tripp Lake where some of the many camps recognized.
Personally I might head up a party to celebrate the occasion and re-kindle the camp flame, nothing like telling stories of days gone by....
Leaders Online is going strong (check out the link to the right of this post) and have just had over 1000 views! With another addition out soon they are flying along. I headed down to the studio again this week to capture some of the behind the scenes action. The set is impressive and the guys from the Flash Media Society at John Moores University continue to impress everyone with their professional approach and quality of work.
Kim has been working hard on the filming, practicing delivering those one liners and keeping the boys on their toes. Kim was interviewed last night, the interview touched her camp experience, her work at Camp Leaders and her work with Leaders Online. The camp that she went to does some incredible activities, keep an eye out for that interview under the Leaders Offline banner.
Jenny does a huge amount for Leaders Online but is hardly ever seen on film. She has a multitude of roles that include running everything behind the scenes, make up, ideas and much more. She is the one running around all day whilst the other guys chill out in front of the camera!
That wraps it up for now, if you have any questions then drop us an email or give us a call and we will happily and quickly get back to you. If you're not already registered, do it now! Camp changed my life, here is a quote from one of our Alumni, Ruth Tozer:
Camp has touched my life and that of many others and It is an experience I will NEVER forget.
And another one.....
I love that camp gives you the chance to meet people from all over the world. I now have wonderful friends in America, Germany, Hungary along with my new amazing friends who were from England! You learn so much and life is so interesting, and it is amazing how much you learn from each other! You make friends for life!!!
If you wrote the above quote then drop us a line and we'll send you a prize out!
