Who Should Apply:

Anyone 18 years or older (by June 1st, 2010) who:

• Has the usual high level of personal qualities we expect from counselor applicants for the Camp Leaders programme.
• Is of the Jewish faith and has the desire to serve.

 

*Experience of working as a leader or coach with young people is an advantage.

Participants

Jewish Camp Leaders is a programme offered by Camp Leaders. The application and placement process is the same as all other Camp Leaders programmes. However, Jewish Camp Leaders affords you the opportunity to be placed at a camp with a Jewish philosophy or affiliation.

America has a vast number of camps that categorise themselves as Jewish. These camps may range from those that follow more progressive Judaism to others that follow and practice Conservative Judaism. We will do our best to match you with one of these fantastic camps, which best suits your skills and level of faith.

In addition to the standard Camp Leaders application, we will require Jewish Camp Leaders' applicants to:

• Answer questions designed to give us information on your Jewish faith practices.
• Provide a written copy of your personal testimony (if you have one).

 

You will then have the opportunity to experience an American camp with all its camaraderie and fun, whilst being able to grow and share your faith with others.
