There are several things you can do to make sure you don't miss out on an unbeatable summer with Camp Leaders......

• Apply Early! Applying early gives you time after interview to gain additional relevant qualifications and/or experience which will dramatically improve your chances of getting a great placement at camp. There are also discounts to your up front fees if you apply early.
• Complete the application process promptly and include as much information about yourself and the skills, experience and qualifications that you have.
• The qualifications which are particularly useful to get, because they are in such demand by camps include; lifeguarding, coaching awards, first aid, performing arts related qualifications and other relevant leadership awards. If you would like further information about where to go to get qualified then we may be able to help direct you to the right place.
• There is no substitute for experience, so continue to gain as much experience as you can working with children. If you currently have no experience, then we may be able to direct you to people who can offer you the opportunity to volunteer. Get in touch or take the initiative and have a look around in your local area to see what is on offer. Volunteering is not just a form of gaining experience it is also great fun.
• If you are not sure that you have the skills or experience to work directly with the children at camp there are a range of other roles which you can apply for on the support staff program. These include office work, kitchen and serving roles, driving and general maintenance. If you are more suited to one of these roles, simply complete the support staff application when you apply on line, or if you are not sure whether to apply for a counselor or support staff position you can apply for both.
