Our Programs

We are passionate about the camping experience and the growth and development that it sparks both in the children who attend camp and the young adults who dedicate their summers to working with them. These motivations drive our search for the best possible specialists, support staff and counselors year after year.

• Camp Leaders
  Counselors and leaders who are in positions providing care and general support for campers plus leading, assisting with, camp activities.

• Specialists
  Participants who are qualified to a manage, teach and run specific activities in addition to any cabin resposibilities.

• ARC Qualified Lifeguards
  Participants who have passed the ARC lifeguard course offered theough Camp Leaders in ther home country.

• Special Needs Counselors
  Counselors who have been specifically recruited to work at Camps for individuals with special needs. These staff have the opportunity to access online learning through the University of Minnesota’s College of Direct Support.

• Christian Camp Leaders
  Staff who practice Christianity and are seeking a camp with an active Christian faith environment.

• Jewish Camp Leaders
  Staff who practice Judaism and are seeking a camp with an active Jewish faith environment.

• Support Staff
  "Behind the scenes" staff for roles in food service, administration, housekeeping, transportation, maintenance and grounds. Participants on this program must be full-time students in order to meet the requirements of the J-1 work-travel visa.

• Returnees
  Participants who wish to return to camp. We accept returnees who previously used other international agencies and also those who may be located in a country where we are not currently recruiting.

• Direct Placement
  Any staff who have found their own placement at camp.

• Training & Internship J-1 Visa
  Bring your valuable international staff to camp on an 18-month training visa or a 12-month internship visa or select from qualified applicants who we recruit. Trainees & Interns

• Smaller Earth
  Smaller Earth handpicks purposeful work and travel experiences for people from all over the world and provides a leadership framework for them to get the most of their experience. www.smallerearth.com
