Camp Leaders provides the opportunity for people from around the world to work with children at summer camp in the United States, and to travel afterwards. Summer camp is a unique tradition that provides a safe and fun environment in which children can develop both physical and social skills. Working at a camp will, without doubt, be the most rewarding, challenging and unforgettable job you'll ever have. You will work hard but will do so in amazing surroundings, having great fun and making enough new friends to last a lifetime!

When?
This summer! You must be able to depart to the USA before June 20th!

For how long?
You will be working at camp for 9 weeks.

Where?
Most of the camps are in the Northeast (near Boston or New York). But there's also many camps in the midwest, Colorado, Texas or California.

What are my responsibilities at camp?
You will be working with a group of children or teenagers, organize their daily routine and teach them a popular camp activity you are good at (e.g. swimming, tennis, riding, sailing, climbing, paddling, etc.)

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older by June 1st
• Available for 9 weeks
• Able to depart to the USA no later than June 20th
• Able to teach or lead an activity (idealy a sports activity) at camp
• Very good English skills
  

How much do I pay?
The total Camp Leaders fee is only 400 to 450 Euros. This fee covers your placement at a summer camp in the USA, your insurance and your visa documents (DS-2019 and SEVIS). Accomodation and meals at camp are provided for you!

How much do I earn?
The average amount you will earn for your work at camp is 1.300 US-Dollar. This depends on your skills and age, so it could also be a little less or a little more.

How good are my chances of getting a job?
Summer camp jobs in the USA are extremely popular. Every year the camps receive many thousands of applications from all over the world. But if you apply early (by Decembet 2011 at the latest) and if you have good skills in one of the popular camp activities, your chances of getting placed at a camp are very good! The sooner you apply, the more spots are available. So don't wait too long!
