The volunteer program has been set up to help Camp Leaders participants gain some rewarding volunteer experience, which will also help them develop as a person. Arranged by Camp Leaders, participants take part in a review program of players, supporters and referees at local and community football matches on Sunday mornings. All training is provided prior to taking part in the program and your volunteer time will be recorded and added to your camp application. It's a fantastic way to improve your camp application as directors will love to see that you have taken the time to help others and committed to such a worthy campaign.
The Volunteer program is set up for all Camp Leaders applicants, not just those that play football! It is a great way to improve your profile by adding some rewarding volunteer work to your CV. The program does not guarantee a place on camp as a soccer coach, but will often provide that little extra to help you stand out to camp directors.
With support from the top levels of British football, the scheme has taken a wide effect on the sporting scene. Helping to spread the message of the DXTL campaign, supporters such as the English FA, the Premier League and football clubs such as Liverpool, Everton and Bolton, are raising the profile of the campaign and allowing more people involved in football to hear about the opportunities available to them.
If you are keen to take part in either the Don't Cross Line Volunteer or Ambassador program through Camp Leaders, apply online and then contact pete@campleaders.com to discuss the opportunity.
