Fees for summer 2008 are €419. These are the most competitive rates around...just take a look below at what you get:
The US Government requires that everyone applying for a J1visa attends an in-person interview at the US Embassy (London) or US Consulate (Belfast). The fee for the visa application is $131 (which is paid to the US Embassy).
All participants are required to produce a enhanced criminal background check (valid from Jan. 2007 or sooner). If you already work with children, you may have an existing check (whether paid or voluntary). If not, please contact your local Garda about obtaining a check. Not all Garda stations in Ireland will issue a background check. If you cannot obtain one, please contact Camp Leaders and we will provide you with an alternative document to complete. The Garda may charge a fee for a background check, which you are responsible for paying.
In the past some participants have had assistance with their fees from employers, from a voluntary club that they are associated with, from their local council, or from a variety of other volunteer support schemes. It is well worth a approaching anyone who you think may be able to assist. After all, the skills and experience you can acquire from a summer at camp will help you to develop as an individual and offer a better service to others in the future.
