San Francisco

Head over the west coast and take in the liberal and cosmopolitan attitude adopted by the residents of the ‘city by the bay’; and what a bay it is! With a chilled vibe, San Francisco quickly becomes a home away from home! Start off by enjoying a beautiful view of the world famous Golden Gate Bridge as it stretches an impressive 2,737 meters across the bay. If that doesn't impress, catch it from a different angle as you sail to Alcatraz Island. While there, take a tour of the notorious prison, and if you dare - take a night tour! If prisons aren’t your thing, you can always take in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, watch the antics of the Sea Lions down at Fisherman’s Wharf (hint – try to breathe through your mouth) or take a ride on one of the famous Street Trolleys as it navigates the ups and downs of the San Fran streets. Of course, a trip to San Fran isn't complete without a visit to the iconic winding street that is Lombard Street, also known as the crookedest street in the world and home to some of San Francisco's most expensive real estate. One of the best ways to get around San Fran is by bike, so find a local rental shop and take in all these iconic sites as you whizz around! Just remember, only tourists call it ‘Frisco!
