Another figure decides to grasp the Camp Leaders opportunity.
Christmas is a great deadline to tie up loose ends as we all head home from our student digs (or from the real world!) to the comfort of the family home. So use your time wisely to get payments and paperwork sorted out as camps start hiring in earnest in January!
So what's been going on recently?
An email has recently been circulated with some tips/directions on getting help with camp fees from our parents/family, so take advantage of this great opportunity. .
Lots of people have already been placed at camps in a variety of roles so if you are not "placeable" yet (which means that a camp director will be checking you out for a role at their camp!), then definitely do this over the Christmas break. Make sure that you follow the 'how to make your profile look great' link from your homepage, as this will set you on the road to being placed! Put yourself in a strong position and get your summer sorted!
The YouTube videos that you have been posting have been great! Some brilliant fresh ideas so keep them coming. Having a good video reference has the potential to get you placed immediately. However, one thing that I've noticed in quite a few of the videos is the odd beer can/bottle and a few other drinks.

Time for me to sign off for today but first....
I remember the first time I headed out to camp. I was slightly nervous and did not have a clue what I was letting myself in for but the camp community is all about making people welcome and creating an inclusive environment so the greeting I got when I arrived at camp was amazing and helped me with the transition. If any of the returners would like to share stories about arriving at camp please do on our Fan Page. The Facebook Fan page is very active, lots of ideas and good suggestions put forward so you should all go check it out!
