The long awaited second episode of Leaders Online is now here! You may ask yourself - why choose Camp Leaders? Watch this episode and find out!
February is a great month, spring is on the horizon and if you could smell potential then February is the scent of opportunity itself. Camp Leaders have teamed together with lots of different Camp Directors from across the USA to bring you a HUGE opportunity.
On February the 13th in London and February the 14th in Liverpool Camp Directors will be interviewing and hiring staff on the spot for jobs in their camps. The Camp Leaders staff will also be hanging out and getting to meet you, which means you will have the chance to find out more about Camp and we will be able to find out more about you! The more we know about what makes you tick the more we can help you with your application = your placement opportunities will increase!
So what happens at a Camp Jobs Fair? Good question, because lots of different things will be going on. The primary focus is getting you to meet 'real life genuine good ol' American Camp Directors', and give them the chance to meet you.
Your focus should be figuring out what you can put across to a Camp Directors that they won't be able to pick up from your profile. Camp Directors want to meet you face to face and find great people to work at their camp.
Camp Directors will be looking for people who they can trust with their campers and who will fit into the summer community and traditions that they spend year round building.
As well as meeting Camp Directors you will have the opportunity to attend one of the many info sessions that will be running throughout the day, one of our staff who have themselves been to camp (in fact we all have been!) will be talking through a fun presentation giving you an insight into what 'camp' is.
All of your support team (Animal Team) will be there to answer questions and point you in the right direction. Our staff will be on hand to introduce you to Camp Directors and help you to get a place at a camp. The mystery writer of this blog will be present too, will you know who I am?
Now one of the questions that I have seen on Facebook is what happens if I don't get placed at a Camp Job Fair? Well, first of all don't panic! The fairs are a great place to meet Camp Directors and get hired, but with so many camps out there 1000s more people get hired through our programme. Make sure that you meet someone from your support (animal!) team, make a good impression and they will help push your application forward. Remember, all the staff at Camp Leaders are there because they love the industry that they are in, and take a personal interest in getting you to camp. The added bonus of having me there should seal the deal, see you there!
So if you are wondering what you need to do to get involved with this great opportunity here is the low down. You should head straight to our website and register, then listen out for us calling you. We will give you a call and organize a short phone interview with you. Next we will organize a face to face interview either at the Fair you are heading to or close to you. Once you have been accepted on to the programme the Fair is yours for the taking.
