Qualifications

The qualification requirement set out is provided by the governing body for archery in the UK, but should you feel that a qualification you hold is equivalent to the one laid out, please e-mail Sports Leaders to let us know. The award itself is outline below with a link to more information about gaining an instructors qualification. Although we do not currently offer training courses for archery, we encourage people passionate about the sport to take up an instructors qualification as it's a great way to develop your skills and technique.

Grand National Archery Society Level 1 - The archery level 1 award is extensive in the aspects it covers and any applicant with the qualification will have been through classes on sporting anatomy, sports science, communication, health and safety, equipment knowledge, personal development and coaching techniques. Having taken part in the course, staff members who hold this award will possess the ability to lead archery classes at camp in a fun, exciting and most of all, safe manner.
(More information on the Archery level 1 award can be found at www.gnas.org)
