Your summer placement will be found based on your skills, experience and motivation. You can choose which type of camp you’d like to work with and from your application we’ll make sure you are matched with a camp which is perfect for you.
Travelling with friends is always the best, but when applying for summer camp we’d say just apply for yourself.
If you really want to go to the same camp as a friend, then coming to our job fairs together will give you the opportunity to speak to camps directly. And even if you do go to different summer camps, then you still have 30 days after camp to travel and share stories.
We work with over 500 camps in the USA (at least one in every state other than Hawaii), and every single one offers something special. You can choose which type of camp you can go to but not the location.
Many camps hire based on personality, so we like to let the camp directors choose as it will ensure you have the best summer for all the right reasons.
Yes. Alongside our prep days, when you arrive at your summer camp, you’ll have specific training for your role and for camp.
Training can be anything from a few days to a couple of weeks long.
Yes. Each camp is different in the way they structure their time off, so check in with your camp about the specifics. Most people will have one day off a week plus evenings.
You’re going to need your down time.
Nope, we are just looking for enthusiasm. If you’re applying to work in a more specialised role, it helps if you have qualifications and experience.

Any experience will be a bonus, no matter how small. If you don't have experience with children, then why not volunteer before you go? All experience will be beneficial, even if it’s just looking after younger family members, it all counts.
Your first instalment is due within 14 days post your National Team Skype Interview and your second instalment is due within 60 days of your Camp Leaders placement confirmation.
We work with a range of camps, every one different and unique. We work with traditional camps, Christian, Jewish, special needs camps, specialty camps the lot. On your application there is a preferences section, to help find the camp best suited to you.

Usually camp is a 9-week placement, or 10 weeks. You’ll be able to specify your availability dates in your application and let us know what works for you.

It’s always good to say a few things you have experience in (but it doesn't mean you have to be necessarily skilled). Summer camps are always looking for big personalities to fill their camps with energy and spirit. So as long as you’re yourself you’ll be great.
