2019 CHI Special Award
Are you ready for an adventure?
In 2019, we partnered with CHI to offer a special award, in addition to the main prize. Dozens of people wrote in to tell us their cultural exchange story, for a chance to win a round-trip flight to a mystery destination.
2019 CHI Award winner, Veronika B. from Hungary, told us a story about her experience at camp, and won a trip to Barcelona, Spain.
How it works
Submission Round - It’s as simple as submitting your best photos. We’ll choose the best photos from each entry and upload them to our Facebook pages.
National Round - Each Camp Leaders country office will select one country winner to move on to the international round.
International Round - Country winners will be selected based on quality, subject matter and social engagement. These will then go head to head with one ultimate winner being chosen by a panel of judges.
Photos are judged on engagement (no. of likes, comments, shares), quality, and subject matter. To help increase your chances of winning here are some guidelines:
- Upload the highest quality and file size possible
- Avoid uploading screenshots
- Upload as many as possible
- Only upload appropriate images (do not include things such as alcohol, inappropriate gestures etc)
Last year, we gave out our biggest prizes ever. Don't forget to enter your photos this year!
You maintain the copyrights to all photos you submit. You must own all submitted images. If you submit images that don’t belong to you, your entry will be disqualified. If you take the picture using friends equipment please ensure you have permission, to both use the equipment and submit the image. By submitting your images you grant us (Smaller Earth Group) and CHI (Cultural Homestay International) our sponsors the right to use your photographs worldwide across our brands for promotional and marketing purposes.
