About the Turing Scheme

Supporting global opportunities for UK students

The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s program to fund international placements, helping UK students access educational and work experiences around the world. LJMU students can now benefit from this grant to help fund their summer working at an American camp through Camp Leaders.

How to Get Started

Create Your Camp Leaders Profile

Sign up for Camp Leaders as usual and create your profile. Complete your profile by adding as much information as possible.

Connect with Camp Leaders

Schedule a call with the Camp Leaders UK team, and keep an eye out for a call from them at 0151 808 0909. During your call with the Camp Leaders team, let them know you are a Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) student and express your interest in the funding opportunity. The Camp Leaders team will provide detailed information about the program and answer any questions you might have.

Liaise with LJMU Go Abroad

We will notify the LJMU Go Abroad team about your interest in the Camp Leaders program and funding. The LJMU Go Abroad team will contact you directly to discuss funding options for the Camp Leaders program.
