Camp Leaders Awards 2026: Terms and Conditions
1. The promoter
1.1The promoter is Smaller Earth Limited (company no. 03859099), whose registered office is at 17 Mann Island, Liverpool, England, L3 1BP ("Smaller Earth", "we", "us", "our"). The competition is run under the Camp Leaders brand and is referred to as the Camp Leaders Awards 2026 (the "Awards").
1.2By entering, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not enter.
2. Eligibility
2.1Anyone aged 18 or over may submit an entry or a nomination (the "Entrant").
2.2The person entered or nominated (the "Nominee") must be aged 18 or over and must have attended the Camp Leaders or American Camp Co. program in summer 2026. Any entry for a person who did not attend one of these programs in summer 2026 will be void.
2.3The Awards exclude employees of Smaller Earth (and its associated brands), their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the Awards, including brand ambassadors and interviewers. These people may not enter, nominate or be nominated.
2.4There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter.
3. How to enter
3.1Entries are submitted via the official Camp Leaders Awards 2026 entry forms (hosted on Fillout), linked from Camp Leaders' official social media accounts, email campaigns and website. No social media platform is a partner in, or an endorser of, the Awards.
3.2Each Entrant may submit one entry. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
3.3Entries must include a written story in the Entrant's own words explaining why the Nominee deserves the award. Supporting photos are optional.
3.4All required fields, including the confirmation checkbox, must be completed accurately. Incomplete entries will be void.
3.5No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason, including technical faults with third party platforms.
4. Award categories
4.1There are two award categories:
- Camp Counselor of the Year. Open to camp counselors, including additional needs counselors and activity specialists.
- Support Staff of the Year. Open to support staff participants.
4.2A Nominee may only be entered into the category matching the role they held at camp in summer 2026.

6. Judging and voting
6.1All valid entries are screened for eligibility, then reviewed by an internal judging panel made up of members of the Camp Leaders global team. The panel also includes a representative from CHI (Cultural Homestay International).
6.2The panel scores entries on the impact the Nominee had on campers, colleagues and camp life, and on how well the story captures their summer.
6.3The panel selects four finalists per category. Finalists are published on Camp Leaders' official Instagram account, and the public votes by commenting on the relevant post.
6.4The finalist with the most valid public votes in each category wins.
6.5In the event of a tie, the judging panel will choose the winner.
6.6The promoter's decision on all matters relating to the Awards, including shortlisting, the validity of votes and the selection of winners, is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Prizes
7.1Each category winner receives:
- A Camp Leaders merchandise pack
- A £150 Amazon voucher (or local currency equivalent)
- A personalised, limited edition Camp Leaders trophy
7.2Prizes are awarded to the Nominee, not the Entrant (unless they are the same person).
7.3The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternative will be offered. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without notice. Where an Amazon voucher cannot be issued in a winner's country, we will arrange an alternative of the same value.
7.4Prizes provided by third parties are subject to those third parties' terms. We accept no responsibility for changes made to them by the relevant providers.
8. Winner notification and prize fulfilment
8.1Finalists and winners will be notified by email and/or DM on Instagram from an official Camp Leaders account. We will never ask for payment or bank details to release a prize.
8.2We may ask a finalist or winner to verify their identity and eligibility, including proof of summer 2026 program participation, before a prize is released.
8.3If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and award it to the finalist with the next highest number of valid public votes.
8.4The winners' names will be available 28 days after the winners are announced by emailing marketing@campleaders.com.
9. Content, consent and sharing with visa sponsors
9.1Entrants confirm that their story, photos and any other submitted content are their own original work, are truthful, and do not infringe the rights of any third party.
9.2If a photo shows anyone other than the Entrant, the Entrant confirms they have the permission of every identifiable person in it for the uses set out in this clause 9. The Entrant indemnifies Smaller Earth against any claim arising from a failure to obtain that permission.
9.3By entering, Entrants grant Smaller Earth and its associated brands a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free and irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and distribute their submitted content, in whole or in part, in any format or media, for promotional and marketing purposes. No further payment or approval is required.
9.4Sharing with visa sponsors. By entering, Entrants agree that their entry (including the story, photos, the Nominee's first name, home country and camp role) may be shared with the Nominee's dedicated J-1 visa sponsor. These include, but are not limited to, CHI (Cultural Homestay International), CIEE, CENET and Greenheart. The visa sponsor may use the entry for its own judging, reporting, promotional and marketing purposes, including in future marketing activity.
9.5Where the Entrant and the Nominee are different people, the Nominee's personal details and story will only be published, voted on publicly, or shared with a visa sponsor once the Nominee has confirmed they agree to these terms. We will ask for this confirmation when finalists are notified. If a Nominee does not agree, their entry will be withdrawn and not shared.
9.6Any person featured in an entry may ask us to stop using it in future marketing by emailing marketing@campleaders.com. We will stop new use within a reasonable time, but cannot recall material already published or shared.
9.7We reserve the right to moderate, edit for length, remove or disqualify any entry we consider offensive, inappropriate, untrue or otherwise unsuitable for publication.
10. Publicity
10.1Finalists and winners agree to the use of their name, image and entry in publicity material for the Awards and for future Camp Leaders marketing.
11. Data protection
11.1Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
11.2Data submitted via Fillout is used to administer the Awards, fulfil prizes and for the marketing purposes set out in clause 9.
11.3Other than as set out in clause 9.4, personal data will not be disclosed to a third party without prior consent, save as necessary to run the Awards and fulfil prizes.
12. Voting integrity
12.1Public voting takes place on Camp Leaders' official Instagram account only. One vote per account will be counted.
12.2Votes generated by bots, scripts, duplicate or fake accounts, vote buying, or any other form of manipulation will be discounted. Any finalist found to be engaging in or benefitting from such activity may be disqualified.
12.3We may adjust, suspend or void the voting process at our discretion to ensure fairness.
13. Disqualification
13.1We reserve the right to disqualify any Entrant or Nominee who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, breaches these terms, or behaves in a way that could damage the reputation of Camp Leaders or Smaller Earth.
13.2Entries made using bots, scripts or any automated method will be disqualified.
14. General and liability
14.1Smaller Earth may change or modify these terms at any time, effective immediately on posting to this webpage.
14.2We may cancel or amend the Awards and these terms without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, any actual or anticipated breach of law, or any other event outside our control. Any changes will be communicated as soon as possible.
14.3The Awards are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, Fillout, or any visa sponsor named in clause 9.4. You are providing your information to Smaller Earth Limited and its associated brands.
14.4We will not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from a winner's inability to redeem a prize, nor are we obliged to offer an alternative, cash equivalent or other compensation.
14.5To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability to any Entrant, Nominee or winner in connection with the Awards howsoever caused, provided that nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
14.6A failure by us to enforce any of these terms will not be deemed a waiver of our rights.
14.7If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14.8These terms constitute the entire agreement between the Entrant and the promoter in relation to the Awards.
15. Governing law
15.1The Awards and these terms are governed by English law, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
