Sponsor Information
Camp Leaders participants travel on a J1 Visa through the BridgeUSA program, regulated by the U.S. Department of State. Attending a Prep Day and completing monthly check-ins is mandatory. Your visa sponsor info is in your profile and on your DS-2019, know how to contact them.

DS-160
The DS-160 is required for your U.S. visa. If it expires or can’t be retrieved, start a new one, it won’t affect a booked appointment. Use a 2x2 inch U.S. passport photo, and if you can’t upload it, bring printed copies to your visa interview.

Visa Application Guide
UK participants must book a U.S. Embassy appointment through their Camp Leaders profile and upload proof. Bring all required documents, arrive early, and expect your passport to be retained temporarily. Visas are typically confirmed on the day, with passports returned by DX within 10 working days. Missed appointments can be rescheduled at no extra cost.

Visa Basics
The BridgeUSA program enables cultural exchange through the J-1 visa, which requires a DS-2019 form issued by Camp Leaders. You'll also need a SEVIS receipt and a completed DS-160 form. Start your visa process once you reach the “Ready to Hire” stage. The visa ends when camp finishes, but you still get 30 days to travel. No ESTA is needed.
