Earn spending money
As well as having the summer of your lifetime at camp you'll earn some spending money for your time there (often referred to as 'Pocket Money').
- Aged 18-20: $1700 USD
- Aged 21+: $1800 USD
- Certified Specialist: + $100 USD
- Special Needs Counselor: + $100 USD
Net Pocket Money: Unlike most other agencies all Camp Leaders pocket money amounts displayed are after all taxes and deductions and are the minimum you will receive.
Additional costs
There are some third party fees that are part of going to camp. These are paid to organisations like your doctor, the US government and background check agencies as part of the J1 Visa requirements.

- US Visa Interview - $160 USD (Paid to US Embassy)
- Nonimmigrant Visa Issuance ("Reciprocity") Fees - $105 USD (Paid to US Embassy)
- Domestic travel within Australia - Travel to US Consulate in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth for US Visa Interview
- Flights to the US - Price varies
- SEVIS Fee - $35 USD (Paid to US Department of State)
